What We Do

We Support Women and Youth to Reach Their Full Potential

Ubuntu’s transformation work
Ubuntu‘s work is at the heart of grassroots transformation. The organisation has consistently worked among those who have been excluded and exploited, such as farm women and youth, the unemployed, fisher communities who are deprived of their voice, unfairly dismissed workers, disadvantaged urban communities, on farms and in rural areas, and who are suffering under GBV perpetrators. At the core of Ubuntu’s work is a peoplecentred approach. The upliftment of women and their communities yielded many positive results. GBV Champions grew out of this mobilisation work and is locally located. GBV prevention work has seen many women and children being placed in safe care, and it also contributes much to the restoration of families, and has seen many interventions by social workers and schools.

Ubuntu’s transformation work is centered around paralegal work, care work, advocacy, and lobbying, building strategic partnerships, and amplifying women’s and youth voices.
